All’incontro hanno preso parte il Sindaco Vincenzo Servalli, il presidente della commissione comunale politiche Sociali dott.ssa Paola Landi, il Presidente dell'Osservatorio cittadino sulla condizione delle persone con disabilità dott. Vincenzo Prisco, il Direttore del Distretto ASL ex 63 dott. Francesco Perrotta, il dirigente del III settore dott. Romeo Nesi, esponenti dell'Osservatorio ed personale del III Settore Servizi alla persona del Comune di Cava de' Tirreni.

“Terrò personalmente la delega alle Politiche Sociali- ha affermato il sindaco Vincenzo Servalli- e lavoreremo tutti insieme con il personale del Piano di Zona e dei Servizi Sociali comunali in un continuo dialogo per individuare le problematiche e ricercare le priorità così  da elaborare in maniera unitario le relative soluzioni”.

Molto soddisfatto dell’esito dell’incontro il presidente dell'Osservatorio cittadino sulla condizione delle persone con disabilità dott. Vincenzo Prisco che espresso il suo plauso per la vicinanza dell’Amministrazione comunale e l’attenzione ricevuta dagli uffici preposti. Elementi questi “lasciano intravedere un percorso che possa dare risposte alle persone disabili ed alle loro famiglie attraverso un comune percorso di ascolto e di concertazione”.

L’Osservatorio è in attività da quindici anni e raggruppa al suo interno ben tredici associazioni.

Da parte del Direttore del Distretto ASL ex 63 dott. Francesco Perrotta è stata espressa la piena collaborazione per quanto attiene l’integrazione socio-saniatria. “Siamo aperti all’ascolto – ha dichiarato Perrotta- verso proposte di miglioramento dei nostri Livelli essenziali di assistenza (LEA). Lavoreremo insieme con l’Amministrazione comunale per l’eliminazione delle barriere architettoniche ancora presenti all’interno delle sedi che ospitano i diversi uffici del Distretto sanitario.”.

Al fine di rendere operativa l’azione sinergica tra Amministrazione comunale ed Osservatorio cittadino sulla disabilità sono stati già programmati una serie di incontri che riguardano il miglioramento delle aree di sosta riservate ai disabili, l’eliminazione delle barriere architettoniche su strade, scuole, edifici pubblici in genere e l’attivazione di uno sportello di informazione ubicato nel palazzo di Città.
